Building Spotlight - Bullet Rated Guard Building

HMC is proud to be part of a project which involved the reconfiguration of entry gates at a high security facility in Bethesda, Maryland. Working with RMA Land Construction, Inc., HMC provided customized bullet rated security booths for two of the entry gate locations.  HMC's team coordinated closely with the project architect to design an aesthetically pleasing building which incorporated  architectural steel panels with 1 inch reveals into the facade.  Bullet rated exterior construction, as well as bullet rated windows, created the high level protection needed for security personnel. Special amenities such as custom shelving, cabinetry, and low odor rubber flooring created the high end structure expected for this application.

Buildings in a Hurry!

HMC offers a wide variety of modular systems; but did you know that you could have your new

preassembled building in as little as one week. The plant stocks several sizes of exterior aluminum buildings that can ship just a few days after receipt of order. Sizes available are 4'x4', 4'x6' and 6x8' structures. Standard units have clear tempered safety glass windows around the entire perimeter and a 3 inch overhang roof. Electrical components include (1) light fixture, (1) 115V outlet and (1) 230V outlet, all factory wired to a 100 amp load center. HVAC units can be added, extending the lead-time only a few extra days. You simply off-load the building, anchor it to a level concrete slab and make the electrical connection. As simple as that - you're in a new building.

A recent project at the Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport proves to be a great success for Harrelson Modular Construction, Inc.

Current renovations underway at the airport could not have taken place until the ground floor rental car agencies were relocated. HMC's modular wall systems proved to be the prefect solution for the rental car complex temporary home in the existing parking deck.

Working with an architect firm in Birmingham, HMC helped design a 300ft long curved modular complex to house seven rental agencies. Gray painted steel modular wall panels created a retro-industrial look that blended uniquely into the concrete facade of the parking deck. Fitted with special low-E tinted window glazing and custom entry doors, the modular enclosure transformed the once dark parking deck into a high end public service facility.
